I have already bought a ceramic heart dish from Target and a desk picture holder in the word "Love" to help get me in the spirit of February. This new year my hubbie and I have decided to focus on simple gifts and not so much on big material things. I will be the first to admit that I "heart" Coach, Brighton and Dooney and Bourke purses but the truth is I can't afford or validate spending $200 on a purse anymore. So I am developing my love of Vera Bradley purses/bags and to get a bigger purse for $60 is SO much more do-able than $200 plus. Please don't think I am running amuck buying purses left and right...I have one Vera Bradley purse that I am drooling over for $68.00....this is it:

But I am saving my allowance money until I can afford it with my "extra" spending money. But I will drool from afar until then!
Also, I am blessed enough this year that I am going on a girl's trip to Nashville, TN in March with my roommate from college. Being a Southern born and raised girl and a lover of country music, I cannot wait! As for New Year's resolutions, I probably should be dieting and losing weight but I feel that I need to be working on my relationship with God and relying on faith and positive thinking first so that is what I am doing. I hope to share my journey through my resolution with you. And for all you Texas blogging gals out there, there is a blog for us now!! The address is Texas-BloggingGals. Be sure to add the button to your sidebar and say "howdy" to our fellow Texan women out there!

I love your blog, too! I am now a follower.
Be sure and come over to my personal blog, too.
It's great to meet you! I love the concept of Texas Blogging Gals!
Thanks for your kind comment on my blog. I look forward to getting to know you better!
I'm here from Texas-Blogging Gals! I love your blog already! Love the name to begin with! I can't even afford the Vera Bradley purse, but I do like it, and might save up for it, too. Purses are one of my weaknesses. I'll be back to visit you.
Happy New Year! I understand where you are coming from in regards to the purses. I am right there with you I love those expensive brands but can't justify spending the money on them anymore. I love that Vera Bradley one you picked out. Very cute. You should check on Amazon because every so often they have a clearance sale and you can get one for a great price.
Thank you so much for the sweet comment! I actually just bought that leopard shirt at Charming Charlies! I am SO into anything animal print right now! ;) I bet you will have a blast in Nashville...I'm jealous! I'm a huge fan of country music!
I want to post with Texas girls, but being in Tampa wouldn't count. It's so good to see you. Happy New Year.
