It Won't Be Like This For Long

It seems that our family has been plagued by medical issues here lately. I know it has been over a month since my last post and about that time was when we first started trying to figure out the medical issues. My husband was diagnosed with 2 kidney stones - one was stuck by his bladder which the doctor thought was causing his pain so he underwent a lithotripsy (a procedure in which they use highly contained sound waves to break apart a stone). That took care of one of the stones and we thought we were on the road to healing. It is now a month later and his pain is back and we still have the other kidney stone stuck in his kidney. We are currently in the process of transferring doctors to get a second opinion but it seems the first doctor is not being very accommodating with releasing his records. Any extra prayers to help "get" the first doctor's office in gear to release our records would be a HUGE help!

On top of that, my husband's father was diagnosed with a situation - he underwent surgery to remedy the situation. It seems the testing isn't 100% accurate yet so he is having to undergo more diagnostic testing to figure out the status. I don't want to give away his situation on here because I know it is personal and I know some of my family members read my blog and I would need their permission before I posted any details. And just when you think that is it, my mother has been undergoing some problems now as well. She was on a hormone replacement therapy for years and over this last month her doctor removed the hormone medicine. Ever since then, she has suffered through major headaches - migraine like or worse. She saw her internist who ordered a MRI which came back all normal but she is still having the headaches. So last week my mom saw a neurologist who has ordered a MRA as well as some blood work and some restrictions in her diet. I am hoping everything comes back normal and we can get her back to normal as soon as possible.

Through all of this I am trying to remain positive and upbeat but we are definitely ready for everyone to be 100% healthy and back to their lovable selves. As I try to go through each day and focus on helping those around me, I struggle with my own internal situations....like why we are undergoing these struggles, when will everything be better, starting the diet I know I desperately need to be on, and just getting back to living.
